Premier's Message

Saskatchewan takes pride in celebrating the diversity of our dynamic population. We understand that the quality of our cultural fabric depends on the respectful weaving of the many and varied ethnic threads of the individuals who call this province home.

The Excellence in Multiculturalism Yearly (EMCY)awards recognizes diversity of Canada's engine of economic growth. These awards honour individuals, corporations and organizations for contributing toward the celebration of cultural diversity for the enrichment of our society. We are delighted that the EMCY Awards Foundation has chosen to launch Canada's first EMCY Gala in Saskatchewan.

On behalf of the people of Saskatchewan, I wish to thank the organizers for their work on the EMCY Awards Gala, and to congratulate the nominees of EMCY awards for their contributions toward creating economic prosperity, social well being and enrichment of our Canadian society.
